The image of running out of the door and heading to the post office is a main part of Americana that is depicted in classic motion pictures and television shows of the 1950's, 1960's and 1970's. If there ever was an instance where the criticism of older films and TV programs were unrealistic, all one has to do is look at the these scenes to point out some super unrealistic images.

The average person in the real world has to deal with the pains of dealing with post office lines. When Ellen Moorman wanted to list her home for sale, she started on the Internet, where, of course, she found scores of home pages for Chicago-area real estate agents.

She wasn't impressed.

'I didn't see any Web site that was worth lingering on,' she said.

Then she stumbled across Fran Bailey's blog, an almost-daily online journal of her observations about the Chicago real estate market.

'I saw all she had to say, and I said, `This is great. This lady is upfront,'' Moorman said.

So Moorman chose Bailey to list her Northwest Side home, and the sale closed Friday.

Weblogs, or blogs, as they have come to be known, have exploded, with 175,000 debuting each day, according to Technorati, which tracks the phenomenon. They are still a comparative rarity in the real estate business, though blogging proponents say the industry is starting to get it.

Last month at a national symposium on real estate technology in New York, panelists said, panelists said the industry was on the cusp of a blogging revolution.

In 2007, they said, real estate bloggers would at last depart from the tried-and-true formula of offering just home listings and common-sense home-sale advice and instead swing toward personalization to cultivate an image of authority and trustworthiness. "

Almost everyone who is interested in online business or working at home has heard of residual income. They understand what it is and how to make it. There is another form of residual income - passive residual income that people may not be so familiar with. It is like residual income and many might actually already be making passive residual income and not even know it. Residual income is income that is earned over and over for completing a task once. Passive residual income is residual income that comes from investments. For example, real estate is a residual income. If a person buys an apartment complex they then rent out the apartment units and earn a passive residual income on their initial real estate investment in the form of rent every month. With residual income the investment is more about time, not money, so passive residual income is a lot easier to start and requires minimal time, which is why it is called passive.

Passive residual income offers many benefits. For a person who has the money to invest, they can build a nice income with very little work up front and almost no more work after that. All it takes is a little monitoring. It is also very flexible. Most sources of passive residual income can be handled form anywhere. A person does not even need an office. It also provides a person with a lot of freedom. Since they no longer have to spend hours a day working to make an income, they can now spend their time the way they want to. They are free to enjoy life and actually spend the money they work for, instead of spending their time working, with little or no free time to actually enjoy the fruits of their labor. It is also possible for a person to have more than one passive residual income opportunity. Since they do not have to put in a lot of work, they can invest in a few different projects and earn money from all of them at the same time. This is what is called multiple streams of income and is one of the top ways to earning good money. Overall, passive residual income just allows a person to do what they love, to be able to provide for their family and themselves without having to work themselves crazy.

When it comes to earning money, many people are turning to the benefits of residual income. It just makes sense. If a person is lucky enough to have the ability to try a passive residual income then they will get even more benefits. It is something that takes the focus of life off of making money and puts it on enjoying life.

Turn An Original Idea Into A Residual Income Program

Not all residual income programs come ready-made, nor do they have to. Every person has the ability to take their original ideas and turn them into their own residual income program. Every residual income program that exists now started out merely as someone’s idea. So, why not try to create a program from an original idea instead of chasing someone else’s dream? It is not as hard as one might think. All it takes is a bit of time and creativity.

Starting a flow of residual income from a unique idea is nothing new. Every residual income program started that way. All a person needs to do is come up with the basic idea. Then they can take one of two routes. They can develop products to be sold in an affiliate program or a product they sell themselves.

For an affiliate program the person needs to create the products that will be sold first. They should be products that appeal to a large audience and something that people would actually buy. The products should be something that will really appeal to people and serve a need they have that is not being filled by another product. Once the product is designed the person should find a place to manufacture them. If at all possible the person should try to find a drop shipper that will process the orders and ship them out to customers. This will really free up the person to manage their affiliate business. After creating the product the person can begin to develop their affiliate program. They need to figure out the terms and commission. They need to develop a website and figure out how to monitor the sales form each website. They need to make sure that every affiliate will get credit for their sales, their down line and their down lines sales. They have to also figure in how they will get their earnings form all their affiliates, as well. Once they have everything developed they can start marketing their program.

If a person is not interested in creating an affiliate program they can build their own residual income program just for them. Writing e-books can become a good residual income program. An e-book is a good example because they can be marketed to other people to add to their website or just sold on their own website. This residual income program is quite simple compared to building an affiliate program.

Building a residual income program is something anyone can do. They can build up a huge affiliate program or go smaller with an e-book program. These are not the only options either. There are many ways for a person to develop residual income on their own. All it takes is that initial unique idea and a little work.

A person has to try out a few different businesses at one time. The unstable world of internet business can lead to top companies crumbling in the blink of an eye. By having more than one income source a person sets themselves up for stability. They help to ensure that they do not end up without any income.

- A person has to do their research to avoid problems. When starting in a residual income business opportunity a person needs to look at their background. They should make sure the company is in good financial standings with nothing troubling in their past. They should ensure that the people running the business are well qualified to do so. They should also look over the compensation plan and make sure that it is possible to earn a nice, steady income. The main idea is to check it out and make sure it is for real.

When the internet became a mainstream way to do business it opened a world of opportunity to entrepreneurs. The internet is a world wide marketplace that never closes. A business can literally sell everyday, all day, forever. The problem, though, is that the internet can also be confusing and many people fall into the trap of not using it right or using it to its full potential. Websites are great sales tools, no doubt. They are also very easy to misuse. A website must be professional looking and easy to use. In trying to create a great website these concepts are often lost. Many times businesses get caught in spam guards and people never get the email communication. The best way to avoid this is to approach customers in a way that allows a relationship to be built. If a relationship is established they are more likely to open an email from that company instead of hitting the spam button.

The internet should be a tool, not the sole existence of a business. It should be used to communicate with customers, not in place of a real sense of communication between the customer and business owner. The lack of a personal touch on the internet is its one main downfall. Some people even avoid online shopping all together because of this. So the best way to get the most from the internet and websites is to use them to build a good relationship with the customer. If a business owner is smart about using the internet then they should be successful in building an online residual income.

These days, it seems like everyone wants to work

For me, what happened was creating a successful,
self-running Internet marketing system. It didn’t

without me making sure that the taxes are filed
and the paperwork is done. But it happened.

I’m my own boss. I work from home according to my
own schedule and I get to pocket all the cash my

At the heart of any good residual income business is a person who knows how to generate leads. Leads enable a person to build their business. They are the one true way of getting to the top of any residual income business. A person who does not focus on lead generation will soon find their residual income dries up. Many people end up quitting because they do not understand how to generate leads.

A lead is the name and information for a person who is a possible customer or team member. There are many different types of leads. Basically, the best leads are qualified leads. Qualified leads are the names of people who have expressed an interest in the business or products. They have either requested information or otherwise made it known that they are interested in either buying something or becoming part of the business. These leads are the best because they have the most promise. These people are the most likely to buy or sign up. Other leads may be people who have not expressed interest and would be rather difficult to sell anything to or get to sign up. One of the other important aspects about leads is they must be current leads. Nothing is worse than buying leads only to find out they are not current. If they are not current the contact information could be wrong and then that is money and time wasted.

Leads can be generated in a few different ways. Offline leads can come from telemarketing, talking to people and advertising. Online leads can come from advertising and email capturing. These are not the only way to get leads, but some of the more popular. There is also buying leads. Buying leads can be risky, though. As mentioned, they could not be current and that is hard to guarantee when buying them. The other methods are much better because they are current, qualified leads. They just provide the best opportunity. They all bring in leads that are qualified. People are responding to the business, they know what it is and they are ready to either buy or sign up. These leads are the key to making a good income.

Leads are the fuel to earning a top residual income. Good leads are going to produce the sales and sign ups needed to make a residual income opportunity explode and be successful. They can make or break a business. So every business owner needs to understand what makes a lead good and where to get it. A business owner needs to take the time to generate their own leads, so they can ensure they are good. Then they can take their leads and turn them into top residual income.

A home based business does not always start out as a residual income opportunity. For a person who starts their own home business, making it turn out a residual income is something they have to do. Fortunately, turning a home based business into residual income is not as hard as it may seem. All it takes is a little knowledge about residual income and little hard work.

The key to making a home business a way to earn residual income is to understand residual income. Residual income is income that is earned on an ongoing basis without a person having to do work each time they get paid. This is different than the linear income we are all used to when we work a typical job. Linear income is earning income based upon the amount of time worked. With residual income a person can work one hour and get paid for days just for that one hour of work.

The set up for residual income is to have some way to make income without having to be involved. Websites are a great platform for residual income. A person sets up a website with their product catalogue. They insert a shopping cart feature and customers can shop and buy without the owner needing to do anything. For a pure residual income the owner should have products drop shipped. In this case once the orders are placed they go to the drop shipper and the products are shipped to the customer without the owner having to do anything. This is residual income because the owner only spent the initial time setting up the website and marketing. For that small amount of time spent they continue to get paid every time an order is placed.

Another option is to set up an affiliate program. In an affiliate program the owner would sign people up to be representatives for their company. These people or affiliates would go out and market and sell their products. For their efforts the affiliates would get a commission on every product they sell. To make it most profitable for the business owner, the commission would need to be rather small, but then the affiliates may be unhappy. That is where the other part of the affiliate program comes in. The affiliates would be able to sign up other affiliates. Every sale these new affiliates make would result in a cut of commission to the original affiliate. This allows the affiliate to earn more commission by signing up others to do the work instead of having to sell more themselves. An affiliate program benefit’s the owner because they are having both marketing and sales handled for them by their affiliates.

Turning a home based business into residual income is not that hard to do. By setting up the right system a business owner can make their home business pay them again and again for minimal work on their part. It is a great situation and one that every home business owner should try.
